ABOUT

Hybrid Kid are a one-man garage band from Brighton, UK, who have been playing and recording their original music for some years, with various line-ups. Singer/frontman Danny Lloyd writes the songs and is also a talented guitarist and drummer. Hybrid Kid have recorded two albums : The Minor Escapes and Flake, and one eponymous EP. Hybrid Kid have played both in the UK and the USA and been featured on radio stations such as BBC6MUSIC, Radio Reverb, KZSC, Radio X music. Hybrid Kid have had TV appearances on "Live from the Roadee" on Latest TV Brighton. Hybrid Kid have half a million Spotify plays, and played at Glastonbury in 2025.

Performing over 30 gigs last year, Hybrid Kid are constantly playing around the country at various live venues and music festivals, always providing a foot-stomping, eye-popping performance with the power and raucousness of a full band. Regularly playing Brighton's Alternative Escape Festival and supporting bands such as Mystery Jets and Billy Mahonie at classic venues, Hybrid Kid give outstanding performances. Lloyd’s voice is howling and soulful. Hybrid Kid’s psychedelic visuals, uniquely complex tunes, kooky time signatures and weird chord progressions all buck the trend. Influences are wide-ranging and include Pavement, Talking Heads, and Radiohead and Geese
